Enable NDI in Avid Media Composer
NDI is available in Media Composer 2018.7 and newer. NDI functionality is installed automatically during installation of Media Composer. If you can't find the OpenIO_NDI
or NewTek NDI
option mentioned below, you may need to reinstall Media Composer.
To enable NDI output in Avid Media Composer:
- Right-click the HW/SW button and make sure that
OpenIO_NDI
orNewTek NDI
is selected andPlay local audio when broadcasting
is enabled. - Click the HW/SW button. The arrow will blink red when NDI output is live.
Avid is now sending out an NDI feed which can be captured and streamed by LBS.
note
When using NDI output in Avid, any other outputs including full screen playback will be disabled. In this guide, we will setup full-screen monitoring using LBS.
caution
When working with NDI audio, your project and sequence settings should be set to 48 kHz audio and the audio clips you are working with should also be 48 kHz. Learn more
