Resize and center video source

The video preview window in LBS is called the canvas. The canvas shows the video sources that have been added in in the sources panel. Video sources can be resized, cropped or rotated as required.

tip

This step is usually required when streaming timelines that are not 16:9, for example if you are working with 9:16, 4:5 or 1:1 social content.

If your video source is larger or smaller than the canvas:

  • Click the video source in the canvas and make sure the red border is displayed
  • Right-click on the source and hover over Transform
  • Click Fit to screen

About working with 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 social content

Louper rooms are designed to house video streams within a 16:9 frame. This means that you can stream whatever aspect ratio you like within that 16:9 frame. For example, if you are working with a 9:16 timeline in Premiere Pro, it will be displayed correctly within a 16:9 frame in LBS as long as you have enabled Fit to screen in LBS as outlined above

note

Note that this only applies to livestreams in Louper. There is native support for non-16:9 aspect ratios when uploading video files to Louper.
