ποΈ Room Connection Issues
If you are having trouble loading livestreams or connecting to other participants in a Louper room, this might be related to network or firewall issues. Read on to check for connection issues and for possible solutions.
ποΈ Firewall Access Rules
If you are behind a firewall that is restricting access to Louper, please ask your network administrator to allow access to the following domains and ports on your network:
ποΈ Device Permissions
If access to your webcam or microphone is blocked when joining a Louper room, you will need to unblock webcam and microphone access in your browser's settings and rejoin your room so that other participants can see and hear you.
ποΈ Audio Feedback
Having feedback or 'double audio' issues? Try the below remedies.
ποΈ Audio Doubling Up
If you are streaming to your room from your workstation and you are hearing two streams of audio when you join your room, the most likely cause is that your workstation is playing both the sound from your stream source (eg. the audio output from Avid or Premiere Pro) and the sound from the stream in your Louper room at the same time. To fix this, simply mute the stream in your room by hovering over the stream and clicking the volume icon in the controls bar.
ποΈ Avid NDI audio clicking or "popping"
This issue has been resolved with the release of LDE v1.3.1. Please update to LDE v1.3.1 or newer here//www.louper.io/lde-versions/
ποΈ Audio Distortion
If you are hearing distorted or clipped audio in your stream, first make sure that the distortion is not occuring in the source before it reaches your encoder.
ποΈ Jump Desktop Audio when using Louper Transmit
If you are unable to monitor the audio out of your edit timeline while using Jump Desktop, you may need to troubleshoot the Jump Desktop Audio settings in the remote machineβs Audio Midi Setup.
ποΈ Cannot Hear or See Other Participants in Room
If you cannot hear or see other people in a room, or if they cannot hear or see you:
ποΈ Video from Premiere Pro is not Fullscreen
If you are using NDI as an output device with Premiere Pro, and your stream's video is not fullscreen in Louper:
ποΈ Video from After Effects is not fullscreen
If you are using NDI as an output device with After Effects, and your stream's video is not fullscreen in Louper:
ποΈ NDI Source Has Stopped Working in LDE
If you are not receiving NDI video or audio from your NLE in LDE:
ποΈ NDI Audio is Distorted
If you are hearing distorted audio when capturing an NDI source in LDE, this may be because you are working with 44 kHz instead of 48 kHz audio:
ποΈ LDE Logs
LDE saves log files to your system which can be helpful for debugging and fixing issues.
ποΈ LDE or Louper Transmit "There was a problem starting the stream"
If you receive an error message in LDE such as "There was a problem starting the stream. The Stream Key you are using may already be in use on another machine that is currently streaming, or may no longer be valid." this could be due to one of the following reasons:
ποΈ Livestream Health and Connection Quality
LDE, starting from version 1.2.0, offers real-time stream health monitoring to help you identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during your live streams.
ποΈ LDE launch issues on Windows
Around September 2024, a Windows update was released that causes many applications and services to crash upon launch, or whilst running. Some instances of LDE are affected by this update. Fortunately, the fix is simple. This should stop happening completely once Microsoft pushes a new Windows update addressing this.
ποΈ Louper Transmit stream stopped in Premiere Pro
If you receive a message in Premiere Pro saying Louper Transmit: Streaming Stopped, it means that either the Louper Transmit plugin has stopped receiving frames from Premiere Pro because of settings you have changed, or because there is a network issue. Read on for some common causes and fixes.

ποΈ This Session was taken over
If you are removed from a Louper Room and receive a warning message saying This session was taken over, it means that either another person has joined the Louper Room while signed in with the same user details, or you have joined the Room from another tab or device.
ποΈ Wrong NDI signal appearing in LDE when using Avid Media Composer
If you are seeing the wrong NDI signal appear in Louper Desktop Encoder (LDE) when using Avid Media Composer, this is usually caused by duplicate NDI stream names across multiple machines on your network.
ποΈ LDE cannot find NDI Source (macOS)
If you are using macOS Sequoia 15 or later, and LDE is not picking up the NDI signal that is being sent out of your NDI-enabled app (Premiere Pro, Avid, Nobe Display etc) you may need to enable Local Network permissions.
