Stream Keys and Protocols for Third-Party Encoders
Each Louper room has a unique stream key. The stream key tells the encoder you are using (eg. LDE, or a hardware encoder) to send a stream to your room.
Louper provides stream keys in various formats for both RTMP and SRT streaming protocols.
Selecting the Streaming Protocol of a Room
- Go to the dashboard of your Louper account in your browser
- Click the More icon (three dots) of the room you would like to stream to and select

from the dropdown menu - Click the
Streams
tab - Under "Streaming Protocol", click the dropdown to select either RTMP or SRT
- Click
Save Changes
Viewing the Stream Key of a Room
- Go to the dashboard of your Louper account in your browser
- Click the More icon (three dots) of the room you would like to stream to and select
Stream Keys
from the dropdown menu - In the "Select Encoder" dropdown, select the encoder you will be using to stream to Louper. If you are not using LDE, select
Third-party encoder
- Click the copy button next to the Server URL and Stream Key fields and paste them into the relevant fields in your encoder settings
