Presentation Rooms
Presentation Rooms have the same features and functionality as Livestream Rooms, but without the ability to receive a livestream. Presentation Rooms can be created directly from uploaded files and sent to clients or collaborators for synchronous review of uploaded files.
Creating a Presentation Room
From the Filespaces page
- In your dashboard at app.louper.io, navigate to the Filespaces page and open the Filespace for the project you’re working on.
- Navigate to the files you’d like to review.
- Right-click on those files, and choose
Create Presentation Room
- Give your room a name and configure your room settings.
- Arrange the order of your files and click
Complete Setup
. - Share the room link with your participants.
From the Presentation Rooms page
- In your dashboard at app.louper.io, navigate to the Presentation Rooms page.
- Click
Create Presentation Room
. - You can choose to create a Presentation Room with or without files.
- If you are creating a Presentation Room with files, select the files you'd like to include in the room.
- Give your room a name and configure your room settings.
- Arrange the order you'd like files to be reviewed in, then click
Complete Setup
. - Share the room link with your participants.
If you choose to create a Presentation Room without files, the room view will default to grid mode and you can use the room as a regular video meeting room, without reviewing any files.
Commenting on Files in a Presentation Room
You can add timestamped comments to files in a Presentation Room. This is a great way to review files with your team in real-time and get concise, consolidated feedback quickly.
- When you enter your room, the assigned files will be visible in the Sources Panel in the right sidebar, and in the sources drop down menu below the viewer.
- Choose the file you’d like to view, and press play.
- To add a comment, click on the Commments button at the top of the right sidebar.
- Pause playback, or click in the comment composer box to pause playback automatically.
- Type your comment and click “Post” to save it.
- You can also select the paintbrush tool in the bottom tool bar, pick a color and draw on screen.
- Click “Post” to save this drawing as a timestamped comment. You can also combine text and drawing in the same comment.
- Comments can be replied to in-thread, or marked as complete.
- A full list of comments can be downloaded in the format of your choice at any time by clicking the Download button in the Comments panel.
You can add or remove files while your room is in session, by clicking on the “Files” button on the room tile in your dashboard. Just make sure to click on “refresh files” in the sources panel of your room to make those changes visible.
The comments applied to a file in a Presentation Room will be attached to the file itself and will be visible wherever that file is accessible. This means that comments applied to a file in a Presentation Room, will be visible in any of the Review Links that contain that file, and vice-versa. Opening the file within the Louper Dashboard will also display any comments attached to that file.
Managing Presentation Rooms
- Clicking on the
three dot
menu button on your room tile, allows to you enter your room, share it, change settings or delete the room. - Click on the
Files
button to add, remove or re-order the files assigned to the room. - The
Share
button on the room tile gives access to the room’s default link, passphrase, as well as Custom Links.
