Download and install LDE

macOS

1. Download LDE for macOS 10.15 - macOS 14 Sonoma and beyond.
   Or, if you are using macOS 10.14 Mojave (likely because you are on Media Composer 2018 🫠), then download the legacy version of LDE for macOS 10.14 instead.
2. Close Avid Media Composer if it is currently open
3. Double-click the downloaded LDE installer and click Continue
4. Ensure that all plugins are selected, then click Continue
5. Launch LDE from your Applications folder
6. We recommend that you grant the necessary permissions the first time you open LDE. Otherwise, you can skip this step and do it later when you add your sources. For certain permissions to take effect, you will need to quit and reopen LDE.

Windows

LDE

1. Download LDE for Windows
2. Close Avid Media Composer if it is currently open
3. Double-click the downloaded exe file to open the installer
4. If you see a Windows protected your PC popup, click More Info and then click Run anyway
5. Follow the prompts to install LDE. Note that an NDI Runtime installer will also run - this is required for NDI support in LDE
6. Click Finish

NDI Tools

• Download NDI Tools for Windows
• Double-click the downloaded exe file to run the installer and follow the prompts to complete installation
