Create your Scene in LDE

You can add multiple sources to a scene and stream them in sync to your Louper Room. In this guide we’ll be adding a Screen Capture for the video signal out of Resolve, and a Desktop Audio source for the sound out of Resolve.

Create a Scene

In the Scenes panel in LDE:

  1. Select the scene you would like to edit, or create a new scene by clicking the + button.
  2. You can edit the scene’s name by right-clicking the scene and choosing Rename

Add a Screen Capture video source in the Sources panel

  1. Click the + button at the bottom of the Sources panel and select Screen Capture
  2. In the Method dropdown menu, choose the correct option for your video output :
    1. Display Capture will capture an entire screen, you can select your desired screen under the Display drop down
    2. Window Capture will capture the video output you choose in the Window dropdown menu
    3. Application Capture will capture the full user interface for Resolve when DaVinci Resolve is selected in the Application dropdown
  3. If necessary, you can crop the image by holding the Option/Alt key on your keyboard and clicking and dragging one of the red squares on the source's bounding box
  4. Click OK
tip

You can save more than one scene in LDE, and easily switch between them while streaming. For example, you could create one scene for your full-screen video output from Resolve, and another scene for your Resolve user interface.

Add a Desktop Audio Capture source in the Sources panel

  1. Click the + button at the bottom of the Sources panel and select Desktop Audio Capture
  2. In the Method dropdown menu, choose the correct option for your audio output :
    1. Capture Specific Application Audio Only will capture the audio from Resolve when DaVinci Resolve is selected in the Application dropdown menu
    2. Capture All Desktop Audio will capture audio for all applications on your system
  3. Click OK
note

If you are outputting audio to external hardware or a third party software like Source Nexus, choose Audio Device as your audio source, and select the correct hardware or the plugin in the Device dropdown.
