Hosting a Live Session
The Host of a Louper Room will have a crown icon displayed next to their user thumbnail inside the Room. The Host will have access to the Host Controls sidebar, which gives them certain Admin privileges over the other participants in the Room. Only the team Owner or an Admin on the team can be the Host of a Room.
Host Controls
The Host controls sidebar is visible only to the current Host and can be accessed by clicking the crown button at the top right of the Room.
Host controls allow a Host to:
- mute all participants
- disable all webcams
- disable the Livestream
- disable Screenshare
- set the microphone mode to “push-to-talk” or “open”
- change the Room layout
- lower all raised hands
- transfer Host Controls to another Admin on the team
- end the session for all participants
For privacy reasons, a Host cannot unmute or re-enable the webcams of participants after disabling these functions for them. When the Host toggles the webcam or mic settings back to open, participants will receive a notification prompting them to unmute themselves or re-enable their webcams.
