Open the Louper panel and enable Louper Transmit

The Louper Transmit plugin is compatible with Media Composer 2024.2 or later, Ultimate or Enterprise.

To open the Louper panel in Avid Media Composer:

1. Go to Tools › Louper. You might see a dialog mentioning that "The plugin Louper is attempting to access a localhost. This host may access the local file system." Click Yes to allow access and open the panel. The plugin requires localhost access only to store your stream settings.
2. Arrange the panel within your workspace.

To enable output to Louper Transmit in Avid Media Composer:

1. Right-click the HW/SW button, hover over Louper and click Select.
2. Right-click the HW/SW button again and ensure Desktop Audio is enabled (a checkmark will be shown next to the Desktop Audio menu item if it is enabled).
3. Left-click the HW/SW button. The icon will flash red when the output is live.

Avid is now sending out a feed which can be streamed by the Louper Transmit Plugin.

When using Louper Transmit with older versions of Avid Media Composer, other outputs including full-screen playback may be disabled. We will show you how to set up full-screen playback in the next step.
