Add your Blackmagic Device as a Source

In the Sources panel in LDE:

  1. Click the + button at the bottom of the sources panel and select Blackmagic Device from the dropdown
  2. In the Device dropdown, select the Blackmagic device that you have fed an SDI / HDMI signal to via the device's input port
  3. Click OK

If your SDI / HDMI output does not include a video feed, you will need to add a screen capture of your video player as the video source in addition to your Blackmagic device

In the Sources panel in LDE:

  1. Click the + button at the bottom of the sources panel and select Screen Capture
  2. From the Method dropdown, select Window Capture
  3. From the Window Capture dropdown, select Avid Video Engine
  4. To adjust the framing, or to remove the Pro Tools window bar at the top of the video: select the video, hold down the option key and drag the red handles to crop the edges of the video
  5. Click OK
note

If your video is full screen on a separate monitor, you can select Display Capture from the the Method dropdown, and choose your external monitor from the Display drop down. Keep in mind that closing Pro Tools while streaming this source will result in your desktop or applications on that external screen becoming visible to your participants in the Louper room.
