Configure Premiere Pro output

Click to watch the complete video tutorial with voice over - or continue to the next page for written instructions
  1. In Premiere Pro, go to Playback Preferences
  2. Select Enable Mercury Transmit
  3. For Audio Device, select Louper Transmit
  4. For Video Device, select Louper Transmit
  5. Ensure Disable video output when in the background is unchecked
  6. Click OK
  7. Confirm that there are checkboxes next to the Video and Audio labels near the top of the panel (if there aren't, it means you have not enabled Louper Transmit in Playback preferences)
  8. In the Audio Monitor dropdown, select the device (like your headphones) that you want to hear Premiere Pro audio playback on. The default option, Same as system, will use your system's default audio device for playback.
  9. Play some audio in Premiere Pro to confirm that you are hearing audio on your selected audio device
caution

Make sure that Disable video output when in the background is unchecked in the Playback Preferences, otherwise streaming will stop when the Premiere Pro window is not in focus.

note

Premiere Pro does not support output to multiple audio devices, and sending your Premiere Pro video output to more than one device can cause audio issues. If your setup requires routing an audio or video signal through external hardware in addition to streaming to Louper, we recommend creating an SDI or HDMI signal loop and streaming the signal via LDE.
